Tigerbombs studio diary about the making of
THINGS THAT GO BOOM

Cast of characters:
Mr. Retro as "Mr. Lazy but never late"
Mr. Trouble as "himself"
PAOLA as the saviour

Scary Really scary. It feels like it was yesterday when we were in Malmö, Sweden, mixing our previous album Crazy Kids. Damn, it was a year and a half ago when we dusted that one out of our system and settled for writing the new songs. And the songs would let themselves to be waited until August of 2006 when we suddenly realised we should start kicking our own buttocks in a good manner to get the new album out in schedule. We hadn’t really written new songs properly since May of 2005. It was the time to get on the songwriting mode and start whipping. The deadline is set on March 28. 2007, the release date of the next TB-album in Finland. Scary. Really.

So we’ve been writing new songs and recording demos for them for a couple of months now and we are settling in for the full recording speed. Now it’s early December ‘06 and maybe it’s time to let us tell you what’s happening inside our humble studio. If you wanted it or not. Täältä tullaan.

Doin' demos on august 2006

02.12.06
On the end of November we suddenly woke up from the daydream we had been living and it hit us like a ten ton hammer. The drums should actually have been recorded already or we might easily fall from the schedule for good. We had plans to record drums in this one studio in Tampere but unluckily that didn’t work out. So now we are left to measure the options we have. We can record some of the drum tracks in our small Bughouse studio but since drums need a good, big space around them to sound good when recorded, we decided to keep the Bughouse drummings as minimal as possible. Hmm…what could we do? We had a vision that the best place to record the drums would be in some old wooden grandparents house. You know, in Finnish it’s spelled ‘mummola’. The word itself sounds just as the sound we are looking for. Hard to explain, ehm. We did some intensive brainstorming for a couple of days and the closest thing to mummola we could think of was this old youth house in Sotkia, called Sotkian Nuorisotalo. That’s some really spooky place where time stands still. It’s like entering the 50’s. Suits us fine. So we rented this big house for the weekend and we set the goal to record drums for 13 songs in a one day. In Saturday we just loaded the recording gear in, put on the heating and took it easy to make the early Sunday morning as easy as possible. A bit by bit this thingy started to feel like a real recording session.

Mr. Trouble arrived at the crime scene around 08AM just like a good agent should. Early worm gets eaten up inside it’s said. While Mr. Lazy was still propably sleeping(as usual) in his own bed, Mr. Trouble set up the mikes and all the other gear needed in recording. And of course it was a dark dark Finnish winter morning and of course there was no working lights in the kitchen where the control room was set up. Some Finnish words containing lots or capital R-letters were splitting the air as Mr. Trouble tumbled around in total darkness. Just like in normal day-to-day life. Mr. Retro arrived at the scene around 10AM and everything was rolling good. The sun was rising, the recording gear was running properly and the spirits started to raise. Aaajee. Tis gona be good fun.

03.12.2006 A Boy with the toy at Sotkian Nuorisotalo

Around noon Mr. Retro had set up all the drums, tuned them very very professionally with lots of duct tape and mittens and was all set to go, it was time to let the fun begin. A quick sound check and some recording tests were performed, some mike positions were tweaked and looksee, a miracle: no obstacles on the road yet. Looks like we’re gonna get some whacking drums recorded today. This place really has some great acoustic behaviour. Imagine being in an old old railway station or in a old wooden school gymnasium. And they are far away from this. THIS PLACE REALLY KICKS SOME SERIOUS BUTTOCKS. Just the sound we were after. The whole day ran smoothly even there were only these two highly serious pros making it happen. It’s a miracle that someone somewhere trusts us this much and lets us toddlers play. Around 8PM we had completed the whole bunch of 13 songs and chees us, we were tired little boys cryin’ for momma. Don’t know how we managed to gather the energy to pack up all the gear we had brought in, load it out and clean the place, but anywho we successfully were outta place around 9:30PM. No need to count any sheeps this night. Yahoo! Buildin the recording setup and then recording them drums for 13 songs in one day, that’s a start, huh?

03.12.2006 I'm soooo good at this, can u hear? CAN U ?

03.12.2006

03.12.2006 Looksee, the good ole trusty kick drum still rules. When nothin else works, bring on the big fat lady.

21.12.06
Having a 2 week tour in Europe and heading back to studio in a hurry is a relaxed way to get on xmas spirit. You know, we have decided that the first couple of songs should be recorded and mixed on the beginning of January 07, so we are in bit of a hurry here really. The holidays will cut some valuable days off from our studio effort so we have to jump and record on every possible occasion. Having a normal day to day job doesn’t help solving the schedule problems that’s for sure. Anywho…

Today was just a quick one and the song in question was this twisted little humble piece called “School of love”. We managed to record all the guitar tracks in a couple of hours but hey, we are so professional…ehm. This was the first tb song ever to feature some layered Marshall-guitar tones. We are seriously on our way to make and hard rock album here. No hallelujas for that baby. No, seriously we felt that the song needed some nice high gain tones for the guitars and we think we did okay actually(we will prove ourselves wrong on this one). And finally, after brainstorming what we should do with the ending of the song to lift it up still a bit, we invented this idiotic modulation thingy which no one in their sane minds should not use. And we did, of course. It turned some slight grins on our tired faces.

21.12.2006 The first impressions of these kind of amp heads on tb recording.

27.12.06
Just a short studio visit to drink some coffee and to make further going plans how to produce some things in “School of love”. We actually came up with a pretty good vision how the song would be end up sounding and what’s the most important thing, we decided to use some robotic voices on the song. So at least there would be a one decent thing in that one. The rest we manage to spoil, that’s for sure.

28.12.06
Early today Mr. Trouble layered down the guitar tracks for the song called “Kids are allrite”. This songs is again a controversial one, and we are pretty sure that they will throw rotten tomatoes on us for this. Anywho, the song is again a full circus with a new kind of one-man-disco feel to it. Lots of organs, lots of childish guitar licks here and there, so at least it should be fun to play live. Mr. Retro arrived to studio around 16PM and right away he was shovelled to front of the mike and forced to lay down the vocal track on “Kids”. We hassled a bit with the lyrics and actually had to left one half of a verse unsung ‘cause the lyrics were too horrible to sing. Not a first for us. The professionals hard at work. Oh, and we used some futuristic computer technology to produce these high quality robot sounds for the “School”. They sure sound hmm….robotic. As a whole, this day was an easy one, although we thought we could finalize the lyrics for “School” but we failed miserably. Maybe they are miraculously ready the next day, maybe.

28.12.2006 What was it I was supposed to do here?

21.12.2006 Hot,hot, heat in here, huh?

01.01.07
Happy new year babies! What a great way to start a 'fresh' new year by jumping into the studio right away(after not drinking a few lemonades the night before). Surprise surprise, we managed to even record sumthin today, Some funky percussions were added to "Kids" and almost all vocal tracks were recorded to "School". Only couple hours of work today but it's enough on day like this I think. The two songs start to sound like they should, a bit by bit. Tomorrow we have to start mixing these two babies and then we have to rush on doing 15 more...gonna be a hell of a January this year. This is fun James.

02.01.07
Puuuuuh, time to check the damage done yesterday. It wasn't a surprise that some of the vocal tracks had to be resung today...after all it was the new year's day when we tried to sing them before. No, can't imagine the reason why the new year's day would be a bad day for recordings. Nothing comes to my mind. Anyhow today's to do list was: resing (almost) everything and make a guitar solo(!!!) on "Kids". Well, there were a few really good tracks that we didn't redo so it wasn't that big deal. Only 2 songs and after all Mr. Retro handled his duties with 2 litres of hot coffee and amazed us both by being faster than ever. And the guitar solo didn't quite work out yet. After we were done for today, it was time to do a rough mix of the two songs and send them to the record label. Now it's time to put the earplugs on and get ready for some loud commenting and guidelines. We need lots of help but don't realize it. Scary. Again.

02.01.2007 "Singing" "School of love"

02.01.2007 Mr. Trouble waiting for inspiration to write a guitar solo. Waiting hard.

Luckily we have a toy in the studio. And you don't need other toys if you have the KITT. And yes, the scanner light works.

04.01.07
The two songs we've been working this far were miraculously okayed by the record label...though we don't believe it...we think they just don't understand what we are doing here and they just have to nod their overwhelmed heads. They said we have gone different. Yeah right, stupidity makes us even more stupid, constantly. Today was time to move on with a new song and we picked the song by it's funky name: "Reinikaine". It's a happy little motownish tune (well our interpretation of motown, what do we know bout it?!) and it's one of those things that we maybe should not lay our hands on. Anyway we took the bull by it's ba... horns and Mr. Retro even managed to play some funkadelic bass lines for it. Again Mr. Retro was fast as usual, took just a 100 takes and the bass was done. No, seriously it was painless. And fun. The fun was soon lost when Mr. Trouble decided he can play the organ. Sure...play the organ donor perhaps? Okay, nothing got recorded organwise today but consider it done first thing tomorrow. Trouble tumbled thru the song a million times and maybe learned how it should be finally played. Oh, and santa brought some fine lemonade in for us. Let the real recordings begin. Need to get them lederhosen, and got to get 'em fast!!!

04.01.2007 Mr. Retro punishing the bass guitar

04.01.2007 Mr. Trouble figurin out how the combo-organ works

04.01.2007 Look what Santa brought. We must have been some good toddlers. Let the american life begin.

05.01.07
This was mostly a mixing day. We made some minor bug fixing on School and Kids after listening the mixes for a couple of days now. After shrinkwrapping his head on mixing Mr.Trouble played some organs on Kids and on Reinikaine. Those tracks played on Reinikaine may have to be deleted later since the combo-organ was so horribly out of tune. And it took too freakin much time to tune the bastard properly that the love for it was gone for today.New try tomorrow. Reinikaine was also re-arranged after the bass tracks recorded yesterday seemed to change the mood of the song pretty much. We quickly tumbled some new demoguitars on the song and planned to record them properly tomorrow. Sadly we didn't touch the Jameson today.

05.01.2007 She must be tuned properly before use. She's an elder lady so that's acceptable.

06.01.07
An early start this morning, gotta rush for some healthy lemonade-gathering later tonight so we left the studio quite early too. We were actually surprisingly productive today as we managed to record all the guitar, organ and percussion(+some vocals) tracks to "Reinikaine". We had this pipettesque image of the song in our heads but farewell that. It turned out to become a wimpy buzzcocksy-versus-motown-beat-song...we always manage to surprise ourselves by doing something totally different than we planned to. Tomorrow's gonna be the day for the main vocal track and then again it's time to move on with a new song.

06.01.2007 "Men at work"

07.01.07
Despites we had to celebrate the saturday last night we somehow both finally tumbled to the studio. Mr. Trouble spent the whole morning behind the 'mixing desk' having a headache with the magical world of equalizing, compressing, limiting and blah blah blah. The mixing is usually the most fun part of the studio work but sometimes it can be a real pain in the ass, you know. The more u mix the worse the song turns out to sound. Sometimes it's just better to leave the song alone and do sumthin else. If there's nothing else u can do, u go and pick some weird broken acoustic instrument from the attic and invent a use for it in a song or two. And that's just what we did today. "Kids are allrite" has now a new mandolinish vibe on one part thanks Mr. Trouble and his professional playin with the coolest guitar in the world. When Mr. Lazy finally arrived at the scene he was immediately forced to sing some vocal tracks over and over again. And soon after the vocals were done Mr. Trouble violently glued the bass guitar on Mr. Retro's hands and made him play some best bass tracks (n)ever recorded on this planet. Like whoa dude! And the song was a new one with a flashy working title "All together, now". Sounds already like a radio hit by it's name, huh? At the end of the day we noticed(while listening the mixes over and over and over again) that the ending of "Kids" screamed for some carnival feel to it, so we made some samba-beats from the scratch. Sure, we spoiled it all right. Let's see how the label people react when they hear it. Oh, and the Jameson got touched yesterday. Ouch.

07.01.2007 It was time to decorate a bit. It's good to know where u come from. To know your roots, bloody roots.

07.01.2007 And it's also good to know where you are headin to. Can u see our new album cover here? We somehow can.

07.01.2007 Some carnival feel was invented with this magnificent setup.

07.01.2007 Mr. Jason Newsted paid us a visit today. American guests are always welcome.

07.01.2007 Monsieur Problemo learning to caress his sensitive instrument.

08.01.07
Somedays are plain day offs, no matter how hard you try. We recorded a few lines of vocals, mixed the "School" even more, and started to think how this one new song titled "Nikki Six" should be arranged. Some working title, huh? And we were done for today.

09.01.07
Today Mr. Trouble recorded the basic guitar tracks on "All together" and it was miraculously easy. The same fuzzy duder delivered also some very high quality bass lines on "Nikki Six". We are speeding, can u see it? 5th song under serious attack. No time to babble here more, gotta record some more babies.

09.01.2007 Recordin guitar track on "All together". Without a cable, since we know magic tricks.

10.01.07
A day to record only Mr. Retro's guitar work. And what a craftsman he was. All the guitars were layered on "Nikki six" in no time. And we realized in our huge brains that the lyrics for the song are yet to be written, so it's gonna be a nightshift. We plan to record the vocals tomorrow...sooo...u can sleep when you are old, I mean really really old. Not that old as we feel. And it seems we are falling outta the schedule which comes as no surprise for us. It just means long hours next weekend. But weekends are also good for other hobbies so let's see how it turns out.

10.01.2007 Mr. R giving a guitar lesson for himself

10.01.2007 Lotsa lyricshit has been written, you'll hear it in time. And too much is still unwritten. Wanna throw us a line or two?

11.01.07
A short one again. But anyhow we caught some amazin vocal on tape today and actually we started to have a good idea how this one "Nikki" is going to sound at the end of the day. Some guitar track were also added on "Alltogether" and lots and lots and lots of drum editing was performed. The record label started to harrass us with some weird demands about some single choises. We shut down the mobile phones and started racing with a miniature RC-car. Soon the record label was long forgotten.

11.01.2007 Heyyy!!! Another toy for us to play. Wanna hear a secret? We use most of our studio time on racing with this. Hush!

11.01.2007 All together, now!

11.01.2007 A rippin-tappin-solo from Mr. Never Late

12.01.07
Phew. We were jogging today. Mr. R did some deluxe work on recording million vocal tracks on these two songs. The first song polished with vocals was this good ole "All together" and the second was this newcomer "Out of tune" (which actually turned out to be our new favourite tune). Mr. R also played some funkadelic organ tracks on both these songs and man they did fit like a glow. We have no idea if we are in schedule or not anymore but we don't really mind. This was one of these days when you don't think of any deadlines or dates whatsoever. Silky smooth run babies. And we have some serious recordingstuff to do this weekend. Let's see if we gonna touch the Jameson again. We are running with all cylinders now and it sure feels like doin a TB-album. Oh and we the release date for the new album in Finland is 28.03.07.

13.01.07
Most of the day was spent editing drumtracks and they're all done now, so no more headache with drums. At least for today. And as a bonus Mr. T got all guitar and bass tracks recorded on "Out of tune" + some new guitars on "All together". Some equipment also needed fixing and tuning during the day, so pretty wild hard-core-screwdriver-action was going on in the studio for a good while. Maybe the men also need some screwdriver action too, hu?

13.01.2007

14.01.07
We are the gods of hellfire and will bring you down. A new tune was violently taken over today: "Guns and jones". You can imagine by the title that it's gotta be an one idiotic song. Actually we managed to record all the tracks for the song today(except drums of course): guitars, basses, keybs, vocals...and it turned out to be again great one without too much hassle. "Out of tune" also got some new flesh around the bones in the form of vocals and percussions. We were on serious flames today. Oh...and we learned again that humor is the best cure for everything. (Besides of the brown-bottled-hard-drive-defragmenter)

14.01.2007

14.01.2007

14.01.2007 Jolly rogers or what?

15.01.07
Just a quick bug fixin moment late in the evening. Nothing was made but damage of course.

16.01.07
Ouuuh, The record label heard some of the songs and made us fix the errors they found. We tried to follow their guidelines (NOT!) with interesting results. Mr. R had to resing couple of vocal tracks with flying colours. At the end of the day we also tumbled thru adjustin an organ to sound less teeth aching than before. Tomorrow it's time to start with couple of new songs again.

16.01.2007 The first time ever within this band. Making simultaneous vocal and bass recordings.

16.01.2007 Look. Our new (and only) friend. It's actually a pre-reflection of Mr. Trouble in the lense of camera.

17.01.07
PhewPhewPhewPhew. What a long day behind the mixing desk. Three songs were mixed today and it really hazed our heads. After like 8 hours of intense tweaking we still managed to record some guitars and vocals. And when we finally got outta studio we would have needed an ambulance. Big time! 2 finnish young man walking around without a heartbeat isn't a pretty sight. There's some photos to prove the point.

17.01.2007 Mr, Retro singing some beautiful pop vocals on "Nikki Sixxxxx" after the mixing headache

17.01.2007 Mr. Trouble after 8 hours of mixing

18.01.07
Mixing mixing mixing. Headache. Mixing. 6 litres of coffee. Ghosts around the studio.

19.01.07
The work on "Reinikaine" continued with the full speed again. The song starts to get all the needed muscles around and we even hammered some great lyrics on that one. AND EVEN SANG THEM. That's what you get when you call the professionals. Maybe we should call the ghostbusters.

19.01.2007 Mr. Retro trying to convince the greatness of a lyric line... Mr. Trouble doesn't see it that great.

19.01.2007 Guess who won the fist fight. Sing when you're winning...yeah right. What an evil face, huh?

20.01.07
All guitar work done for a new one which is called "Constant beer". And some guitars done to another new one titled "Pointless". Some great working titles, huh? They are not gonna stay, HUH?. A long long long day with wayyyy too much coffee and it felt great. We are falling outta schedule big time, and that feels great too. It just means we have to do some nightshifts with lemonade later. Maybe we are stalling the recordings by purpose, or what u think?

21.01.07
Aajee aajee. "Pointless" was finished guitarwise today and damn it starts to sound like a song. There's maybe 267 guitar tracks recorded now and it was really wortha the effort. It's gonna be a mixing horror later though. "Constant beer" got also finished as we got the bass tracks recorded. We must tell u it's just pure orbison. And you know we can't do the orbison and in the end it will sound more like the orbit chewing gum. Just add some water and the song is done. We also had a new vision of "School" which we had actually once finished before. Somehow we changed our mind about the basic mood of the song and we just gonna have to do a remake from it or it will haunt us forever. But that would suit us ghosts maybe just fine. Nothing was recorded on that song today, but the old guitar tracks found themselves from the guitar track cemetary. RIP. And the most important thing. We made a world record on coffee consumption today. Tomorrow our coffee machine will commit suicide. The most of the day was of course spent by racing with our formula1 car, let's not forget about that.

21.01.2007 Pepe "I so know what to do with all these...things. Gotta use them all anyway!" Trouble

21.01.2007 Kido "I so know how to play the song with a professionally tuned guitar" Retro

22.01.07
We grabbed the bull by its horns and replayed all guitar tracks on "school". And now we are talking. The song took 180 degree turn and it headed back to 60's. So, this is how far we got with the first ever recorded Marshall-tones on Tigerbums tune. Bye high gain guitar sounds, bye! The other track which got almost finished today was "Pointless" with actually is gettin a new bright n hot title: "Hit the lights and so on" which suits our heavy-metal-chief past just fine. Tomorrow some finishing touches and it's done. Hey, we know you've been wondering this...we finally found the evil lurking on this planet. It's been well hidden on every guitar's G-string. It's right there, trust us.

24.01.07
The day was haunted with 2 Finnish idiots suffering a headache. We tried to cure the ache with a fair amounts of quality Finnish humor. It didn't help a bit. Made it worse. So we stared the ceilings in silent for a few hours and went home without saying a word. Oh, we can always tell that some guitars got recorded today but it would be too transparent, huh? Is this sarcasm gonna end before u end reading this diary? We don't think so.

25.01.07
A day for sum qualitee vocals. 2 songs finished today so there's what? At least 7 to go. We are so in schedule.

27.01.07
A looooooooong day with the angry coffee machine. Lotsa time was spent on repairing some gear. And recovering from last nite's tb gig that we threw in this private party. Heads do not ache.

28.01.07
A lots and lots gtrs were played on "Nasty", "Nightmare" and "Don't ruin it". Amazingly productive day actually for it being a sunday. Some gear needed again a tiny bit of old fashioned repairing with duct tape and hammer so that's what was given for them. And the lion's share of the day was spent on exploring the always expanding universe of guitar sounds. And when you throw in the professionals, it's always sooo quick and easy. Luckily we know evrything and don't have to learn anything by the hard way. And the sarcasm still haunts us like a poltergeist. But good humor cures it all.

28.01.2007 This is fun james. 99% of our studio time is spent kneeling and bending over

28.01.2007 The remaining percent is used on finding bugs and syntax errors. A photo of Mr. Trouble's brain.

28.01.2007 Now this is "the look" for a guitar. Not for a guitar player. Recording gtrs to "Nightmare"

30.01.07
Oujee. Vi har ont i galen. We took the "Ruinit" by it's sharp horns and kicked it's door in and hammered it for a good while and finally nailed it and and and. The song is totally some new unvisited territory for us with all its indians and cowboys, Lots and lots of chaotic percussions and idiotic guitar licks and even more idiotic vocals throughout the song. The first time for us, huh? The second song we eagerly started to ruin was this one entitled "You're on full speed", a heartbreaking sugary ballad. It's gonna be a professional american country tune, jos saamme luvan. Ah, our heads ache for real, we've caught cold and sun is shining big time. Everything is like it's always been. But today we managed to make the best pot of coffee we've ever tasted. That's our main goal while being in studio, did you know?

30.01.2007 Mr. Goofy of the Sword hammering his wwwwuuuhan!

30.01.2007 Recording some boleroesque guitars on "youreonspeed". The hollow man playin the instrument, as you can't see.

01.02.07
Huhhuh! Damn it got hot. Mr. Kido "Goofy" Retro sang his lungs out before we called an ambulance. Only vocs were done today...well maybe some minor tweaking on some mixes too. Too tired to come up with this day's share of sarcasm.

02.02.07
Guitars, basses, percussions, vocals, mixing, tweaking, sweating. The most important thing anyway was that we had extra good coffee today. With cardamum OOOOH! Okay, let's admit. We are losing it. Losing it big time. If we ever even had it at the first place. Still some helluva pile of hardcore work waiting us this weekend. And the next week is turning to be the most exiting ever!!! Phew. Some ppl have promised to help us with some vocalstuff. We have to knock 'em out and drag them in the studio, one by one. Wanted or not. They shall come or they shall cry and come. There is no way they can escape our fury. And And And, The ablun...yes the ablun is gonna be the best ever. From tolsby anyway. And we are gonna cry too, you wil see that. And that is a promise.

03.02.07
Guitars, basses, guitars basses, think there is only 2 songs to be finished with stringed instruments. Think we are slowly winning here. Tomorrows gonna be again a day for the vocal work. Phew, we have lost the will to live with all this work and no play, or actually all work and yes play. It makes us dull boys. Which we are of course anyway. Luckily the humor keeps us alive and the coffee overdose keeps our hearts still beating slowly.

03.02.2007 Figurin out the gtr parts for "Nasty" or wus it for "One giant leap", same difference, idiots on the loose.

05.02.07
Same old same old. Million tracks recorded, millions of things tweaked in mixes. Heads spin and hurt. The effort is getting close to the end, little by little and now there is nothing left to lose. There is only sarcasm left in us. Everything else is dead.

06.02.07
A day in the studio with humor. Like we said, almost everythin died yesterday. Only tiny bits of sarcasm wander around. The album is almost done. Almost. Now it's only a matter of who will finish it as we clearly are uncapable.

06.02.2007 A guitar solo!!! A guitar solo!!! We have three of them now!!! We are being so 80's.

07.02.07
Vocs recorded on "constant fear" which seems to get a new name too. Was is "Winter's gone today" or sumthin. Some looovly choirs were invented too. From the scratch of course. We don't know anythin bout recording a choir.

08.02.07
Vocs recorded on "One giant leap" and "Nasty". We are seriously winning this. Only add water and some sweeeeeet backing vocals and we are done. Oh damn it. There was still this thing they call mixing to be solved. Maybe they won't notice if we skip that part. Our heads don't actually love the polishing part. We will put all the songs thru an old school water boiler and hope they end up sounding good.

09.02.07
Vocs vocs vocs. Rush rush rush. Gettin exited. Mr. Retro used the vacuum cleaner in the studio first time ever. Airport.

09.02.2007 Mummu imuroi. The first time ever

10.02.07
Sleeping in the studio and having a shared dream. If someone wakes us up, it's gonna be a slaugther. And no, we ain't having a nightmare. A pure daydream it is. But still no info yet. Will let you know later and asap. Outta words baby.

10.02.2007 Pepe has some new shoes, huh? Or...

10.02.2007 Sleeping in the studio obviously. A photo of the shared dream by Mr. Trouble & Mr. Retro. Photos of the dreams are hard to catch. You need to be superfast to catch a sharp photo. And we ain't that fast while sleepin.

10.02.2007 A real proof. Sleeping and dreaming on valuable studiotime.

10.02.2007 The record label supervisor paid a visit also. And this was all he could do after gettin sucked into our dream too.

Well. We finally opened the champagne that we had saved for the rainy day. And for a good reason. FOR THE BEST REASON EVER ACTUALLY. Sorry for shoutin. Too exited at the moment. If you know 'Stockcity Girl', then you know sumthing about good music.

We managed to record Paola's lead vocals on two whole tracks and like that wasn't enough we did backing and additional vocals to four more songs. Yes, six new tb-songs containing Paola's voice. How can that be, we ask? Phew.

11.02.2007 This stuff comes all the way from 2004, We saved it for special occasion. And if something, this was it.

Mixing. Imitating all the previous days. Oh, and some quick vocals too. "We are on the schedule"

19.02.2007 We had a photographer in the studio today. Good shot, huh?

20.-27.02.2007
These days included surprisingly mixing, some re-recordigs, mixing, stressing, mixing, stressing, crying and laughing. AND, on one fine day we received some superb vocal tracks all the way from Norway, from this one special Maria Solheim, and it made "You're on full speed" reach for heavens. Damn it nailed these mixing sessions good. What now? What was the normal life again?

29.02.2007
So here we finally are...

It feels so damn great and so damn sad at the same time. What the hell happened there and how come it feels so blurred now. We gave birth to a healthy tigerbaby and we sure feel like proud parents now. And we don't know what normal life was before this...think we have to start it from elementary school again.

The good and the sad thing is that it's all out of our hand now. The album's all done and mastered, waiting for duplicating, artwork's waiting to be printed and new songs waiting to be heard. It was a long and painstaking road to travel from beginning to the end but it turned out just the way we wanted. Everything looks good and we can't wait to get on the road again and meet all you friends out there, and share the new stuff with you. It's gonna be a thrill.

Now we gonna take some well deserved rest n try to fix our brains and hearts which we lost during the process and we gonna start to get ready for the next tb-day, which is of course 28.03.2007.

Oh, and there's a lots of cool people to thank that made the album turn out this good in the first place. The biggest thank you and huge respect goes to Paola, who made the album go boom big time. It was plain awesome!!!! And secondly we have to thank hugely our cool friend, Maria Solheim for making the miracle happen within so little time. And and and. There are so many  to thank, but we will thank all of you eye to eye later. Well, of course we gotta throw the huuuge appreciation to our other main men, Sepe, Bubba and Alain, for making us go boom live, BIG TIME.

Now, let the fun n games begin.
Wish us luck.Gonna need it all.
